Some works just make you feel accomplished and proud. This is one among them where referee suggested to change the category of work from review to an original work as we proposed valid risk model with reasoning and calculated the exposure risk of SARS-CoV-2 in natural waters that has never been reported before. But the corresponding author Ryo Honda sensei declined the offer.
To be honest it was another new mesmerising experience in last 15 years of my association with Japanese counterpart when for the first time I saw referee recommends a work to be original rather review but the team declines.
In addition this work has compelled us to look at our own surveillance data with risk perspectives which for some time are generally being denied by WBE researchers. I am sure some opinions and approaches will change following this work.
